Terms and Conditions

 

Tariffs

All tariffs are quoted in US dollars and include accommodations, sea, land and air transportation, meals and entertainment as specified in each program.   Personal consumption items such as alcohol, tobacco and, souvernirs are not included, neither are telegrams nor telephone calls.

 

Reservations

A $100 deposit per person required 7 days after verbal commitment with full payment due no later than 30 days prior to departure.  All U.S. and Canadian citizens require a valid passport or touristic card to visit Costa Rica.

RESPONSIBILITY

Lapa Vacations, 144 E. Cernan Ct. Brownsville TX 78521, Phone (956) 466-3444 /459-3600, its employees, associates, agents and/or suppliers, act only as agents for the passengers in all travel arrangements and assumes no responsibility for any act, error, omission, or for injury or loss, accident, delay, or irregularity caused by any defect in any vehicle, aircraft or boat, or by neglect or default of any company or persons engaged in carrying out the purpose of this trip.  Any travel involves some measure or personal risk that the passenger has to determine.  Lapa Vacations further reserves the right to withdraw any or all tours or portion thereof for acts beyond its control, thereby necessitating the cancellation of such tour.  The confirmation of reservation to the customer determines his/her consent to the above conditions.

ALTERATIONS

Any changes to confirmed reservations will be subject to the availability of seats and rooms, with a respective penalty.

NO SHOWS

Should a passenger not be present at the start of the program, the company will asume non-participation in the entire program, allowing for that space be filled otherwise.

Passenger may join the tour at a different point to the stated “beginning of the program” only if they do so by their own arrangement, and without the right to claim refunds for the service and portions not used.

CANCELLATIONS

Changes or cancellation of reservations can only be made in writing.   Based on the date of notification of cancellation, refunds will be made of the amount paid less the following percentajes of the total value of the program: 45-30 days before the tour 15%; 29-10 days before the tour 50%; less than 10 days before the trip, no refund.   If part or all the services included in the program are not used, the passenger has no right to any refund whatsever.

CARRIERS TERMS & CONDITIONS

The passenger must present him/herself on time for the departure established in the program.  It is the passengers responsibility to reconfirm their flights.   Airlines are not responsible for any act or omission, or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances.  The passenger´s contract with the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the contract between the airlines and purchase of the tours and/or passenger.

CONDITIONS ACQUAINTANCE

At the time of purchase, it is automatically stated that both the travel agent and the client notify and accept all the above detailed general conditions.
