OSA PENINSULA

The Osa Peninsula is the last remaining section of Costa Rica´s Pacific coast where ecotourism is the dominant economic activity.  The Costa Rican Institute for Tourism (ICT) prominently promotes the Osa Peninsula as a place where “ecotourism features as the main product”.  According to a survey conducted by the ICT during the peak travel season of 1986, 75 percent of tourists interviewed came to Costa Rica because of its natural beaury.

The Osa Peninsula is as wild and remote as it gets in Costa Rica—and that’s exactly why we love it. This place is all jungle, beaches, and wildlife, and it’s hands-down one of the most adventurous parts of the country. We’ve hiked through Corcovado, spotted monkeys (and even tapirs!), snorkeled at Caño Island, and totally embraced the off-the-grid vibes.

If you’re into epic nature and adventure, you’re in the right place. Check out our guides below for what to do, where to stay, and how to make the most of your Osa trip!
